The 1996-97 Harvest Alerts
Advice for making field crop harvest and storage decisions in Michigan -- some updates for 2000

In the fall of 2000, the MSU Field Crops and Dairy Area of Expertise Teams updated the "Harvest Alert" series that they published in 1996 and 1997. The cool growing season has delayed crop growth in some parts of the state creating a need for information addressing harvest of field crops when the growing season is cut short. The possibility of an early killing frost further complicates finishing the season for some.

The fact sheets address harvest decisions, and storage and handling of crops as well as potential uses of immature crops. Some of the following series isavailable through MSU Extension county offices as well as through this web. (We suggest you call your county office to confirm availability.)
